The township of East Brunswick will host its annual Fourth of July Celebration and Fireworks beginning at 4 p.m. July 4 at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road. Rain date is July 5.
Highlights will include food vendors, children’s bounce rides, free giveaways, face painting, balloon twisting, a watermelon-eating contest, a wing-eating contest and a cupcake-eating contest. The Voodudes, a band playing New Orleans-inspired blues, funk and rock covers and original tunes, will kick off the entertainment at 5 p.m. High-energy band Kristen and the Noise will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Admission is free of charge. Parking will be available at the Community Arts Center and at Heavenly Farms, Dunhams Corner Road. Pets, alcohol and personal fireworks will not be permitted.
