Foodies will have plenty to enjoy at the Old Bridge Public Library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, this summer as the library presents the following culinary-themed programs:
“Hot Summer, Cool Foods” will be held at 7 p.m. on July 19. Learn how to make appetizers, main dishes and desserts without turning on the oven or stovetop. Recipes will be provided. This program is open to adults and teens age 13 and older.
“Pizza Your Way” is set for 2 p.m. on July 20 for tweens in grades 4-6. Participants will make pizza from scratch using herbs and vegetables grown from the library’s Idea Farm makerspace garden.
“Son of Smoothies” will be held at 7 p.m. on July 28. All are welcome to learn how to easily recreate a few smoothies found at popular restaurants.
“Fear Factor Foods” is planned for 7 p.m. on Aug. 9. This program will give attendees an opportunity to sample unusual or exotic foods while also getting tips on how to prepare and serve them. This program is open to adults and children age 12 and over.
“Pizza Your Way” will be held for adults and teens age 13 and older at 7 p.m. Aug. 16.
“Retro Desserts” is planned for 7 p.m. Aug. 23. Sample a few retro favorites, like green jello salad. Recipes will be provided. The program is open to adults and children age 12 and up.
