WEST WINDSOR — The state Department of Transportation has awarded a $225,000 grant toward the resurfacing of a portion of Alexander Road, according to Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh.
Known as the Alexander Road phase 3 project, it will provide for improvements to the eastern half of Alexander Road between Route 1 and Roszel Road.
Half of the road — from the curb to the centerline — will be milled and repaved. Drainage improvements will be made, along with curb realignment and improved signage and striping, Mayor Hsueh said.
“We are grateful to the New Jersey Department of Transportation trust fund and the ongoing cooperation between the township and the state for improvement of our local transportation network,” Mayr Hsueh said.
“We will participate in all available programs to enhance the safety of the West Windsor community,” he said.
