HILLSBOROUGH Former Committeeman Redlawsk takes job at University of Delaware

Rutgers University’s Eagleton Institute of Politics, which produces the Rutgers-Eagleton Poll, is in new — but familiar — hands as of July 1.
Ashley Koning, currently assistant director of the Center for Public Interest Polling, will take over as interim director of the poling institute when former Hillsborough resident David P. Redlawsk, director for the last seven years, leaves Rutgers. He will become the James R. Soles Professor and chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Delaware.
Ms. Koning served as acting director of the Rutgers-Eagleton Poll while Mr. Redlawsk was on leave in 2015.
Mr. Redlawsk is 57. Twenty 20 years ago, after two unsuccessful tries, he won his own election in 1995 in Hillsborough and was voted twice to the Township Committee. His wife, Aletia Morgan, was elected to the Board of Education, in the ’90s, too.
