Borgota’s poker tournament to benefit food bank

ATLANTIC CITY – Cabot® Creamery Cooperative,”Makers Of The World’s Best Cheddar,” is sponsoring a No Limit Texas Holdem poker tournament at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Friday, July 15, 2016 for the benefit of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch. The tournament is titled “Put A Bad Beat on Hunger,” and its goal is to raise funds and generate awareness of the life-saving work the Food Bank does for South Jersey communities.

Based in Waitesfield, Vermont, the farm-family owners of Cabot Creamery Cooperative salute the vital work the Community Food Bank of NJ, Southern Branch does to help combat hunger and break the cycle of poverty for families throughout the greater South Jersey region. The tournament will be held on Friday, July 15, at 4 p.m. in the Poker Room at Borgata Hotel, located at 1 Borgata Way, Atlantic City.

Some of the nation’s top professional poker players such as Roy Winston, Amanda Musumeci, and Bernard Lee will battle it out to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, Southern Branch. Also joining the friendly fray are members of the media community such as Marilyn Russell and Hugh E. Dillon, along with representatives from Cabot Creamery Cooperative, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey and several celebrity guests.

In addition to the prize pool, the winner will be awarded a Bad Beat
Champion Trophy from Borgata as well as a $3,500 entry voucher into the
WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship, taking place this September courtesy of Cabot Creamery Cooperative.
