Bentley Community Services provides lifesaving skills

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Bentley Community Services (BCS) has assisted many families throughout central New Jersey as they regain stability by providing supplemental food as well as assistance in order to pay their mortgages, rent and a number of outstanding bills.

In a recent outreach effort, a number of families participated in a CPR/AED Heartsaver Lifesavings Class where they successfully earned their medical certifications as well as knowledge on how to help save lives.

According to Executive Director Dorothy Stearns, BCS offers a variety of educational and informative workshops throughout the year. Each program is developed and facilitated by physicians, nurses and health professionals of the Princeton HealthCare System and focuses on enhancing the quality of life while also addressing the unique needs of women, men, seniors, children and adolescents.

Princeton HealthCare also offers many innovative health and lifestyle-related programs, screenings and medical support at little or no cost to every community, Bentley said.

The charitable organization provides access to healthier grocery provisions while promoting healthy diets and nutrition for many families as this helps decrease the staggering amount of grocery bills, according to a statement prepared by BCS.

Donations of perishable and nonperishable food items and toiletries are accepted throughout the year.
