Great music — and a great view — are promised for this Saturday’s Sourland Music Festival from 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Hillsborough Golf and Country Club, 146 Wertsville Road, Hillsborough.
The CC Coletti band — which has performed, recorded or written with Meatloaf, the Spin Doctors, Lenny Kravitz and John Waite — will headline the show.
And the view? The show takes place on a polo field on top of the mountain.
Based in Somerset and Hunterdon counties, the CC Coletti band and guitarist Anthony Krizan are sure to rock the mountain. Also on the bill is area favorite Ten Foot Tall, which has toured with Los Lonely Boys and shared the stage with Dave Mason, Marshall Tucker and Bernie Worrell.
World-touring jazz master Jim Ridl, Indie songstress Christine Havrilla and local bluegrassers, the Blue Wave Ramblers, round out the bill.
“The Sourland Music Festival. . . a gathering of families, music lovers and community to celebrate the Sourland region and great outdoors,” Tim Johnson, festival co-chairman.
Several food trucks and specialty food vendors will be on-hand cooking up fresh food, beverages and desserts: The Empanada Guy, Oink & Moo BBQ, New World Pizza, Northeast Kettle Korn, Joe’s Lemonade, Aunt Dee Dee’s Oven-Baked Goods and Clyde’s Homemade Italian Ices and Ice Cream.
Adults can cool off in the beer and wine garden with a signature Sourland Music Fest beer produced by 902 Brewing Company of Hoboken and Flounder Brewery of Hillsborough, which has created a brew just for the festival. Buy the Sourland Festival mug and get a discount on beer refills using the mug. Several selections of Unionville Vineyards’ (Ringoes) favorite wines will also be available, too.
