Hallmark Channel continues its partnership with North Shore Animal League America and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation with the premiere of Kitten Summer Games on Friday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. The inaugural event is hosted by Beth Stern with announcers Mary Carillo and David Frei and will feature some of the nation’s most athletic and adoptable kittens competing in a series of sporting events. These cat-letes will compete in kitten gymnastics with balance beam, uneven bars, rings and floor exercises. We will also be treated to a de-CAT-hlon with track and field, pole vault, high jump, as well as volleyball, tennis and wrestling. Who will bring home the gold, silver or bronze medal? All 90 kittens featured have been adopted into loving homes.
Two of country music’s hottest male vocalists, Brett Eldredge and Thomas Rhett, will team up to host ABC Television’s summer music event, CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock on Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 8 to 11 p.m. Filmed during the CMA Music Festival, ABC’s special features many of today’s most exciting country-music stars, as they hit the stage during the four-day event.
Investigation Discovery will present its revealing new special Guns on Campus: Tamron Hall Investigates, premiering Sunday, Aug. 7 at 10 p.m. On the 50th anniversary of the Tower Shooting that left 17 dead, the University of Texas at Austin is confronted with a very different challenge: implementing SB11, the latest gun law out of the Texas Legislature that allows students to carry concealed weapons on campus and in classrooms. Using her signature reporting style, Tamron Hall visits that campus to speak to first-responders and witnesses of the 1966 Tower Shooting, as well as the current stakeholders of SB11.
