TINTON FALLS — Suji Thomas, MSN, MBA-HCM, RN, has assumed the role of CEO at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, a joint venture of Monmouth Medical Center. Thomas comes to HealthSouth from Saint Barnabas Health System’s Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus where she served as director of patient care.
In her position as CEO, she oversees all of the hospital’s day-to-day operations as well as patient quality and care. She has more than 23 years of experience in various health-care facets, including acute rehabilitation, post-cardiothoracic surgery, telemetry, neurology/stroke, nephrology, orthopedics and more.
Thomas is involved with various local and national organizations including The New Jersey Committee of Magnet Organizations and The Organization of Nurse Executives where she is an active member and serves on the mentorship subcommittee. She received her master’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in business administration in health-care management from the University of Phoenix.
HealthSouth Tinton Falls is a 60-bed inpatient physical rehabilitation hospital at 2 Centre Plaza. The facility serves patients who are recovering from conditions such as stroke and other neurological disorders, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, complex orthopedic conditions and cardiac and pulmonary conditions. It holds disease-specific care certifications from The Joint Commission for its stroke, pulmonary, brain injury, hip fracture and cardiac rehabilitation programs.
