PRINCETON: Self-playing pianos, carousel organs seen and heard (With multiple photos)

Princeton had an old-timey feel to it during the weekend of Aug. 6-7, as members of two organizations shared music from self-playing instruments throughout the town.
The Automatic Musical Instruments Collectors Association (AMICA) and the Carousel Organ Association of America (COAA) held their annual event in Princeton this year. Self-playing pianos and carousel organs were set up at various spots, including Palmer Square. The pianos were found in homes and bars in the early 20th century, while the larger organs accompanied carousels and also provided music at venues such as roller skating rinks.
The event was a rare opportunity to listen to, and see, these instruments.
