The Hightstown Borough Police Department, flanked by the Hightstown mayor and council, members of the community, family and friends, gathered Aug. 11 to celebrate the promotion of Chief Frank Gendron, Sgt. Ronald Stephensen, Sgt. Francisco Jimenez, and the appointment of three officers Patrolman Ryan Buck, Patrolman Daniel Abbatemarco, and Patrolman Vincent Doell.
Chief Gendron, along with the two sergeants and three officers, were sworn into their respective offices by Mayor Lawrence D. Quattrone and Police Commissioner Seth A. Kurs.
Chief Gendron, a graduate of the FBI National Academy 249th session, has risen through the ranks, beginning his law enforcement career with Hightstown Borough as a dispatcher to his current role as chief of police.
Sgt. Stephensen has served in the patrol division prior to achieving the rank of sergeant, and Sgt. Jimenez served in the patrol division and detective bureau prior to being promoted to the rank of sergeant.
Patrolman Buck was a Special Class II officer in Atlantic Highlands; Patrolman Abbatemarco was a Special Class II officer in Atlantic Highlands; and Patrolman Doell was an officer in Plumstead Township prior to joining the Hightstown Borough Police Department.
