PLAINSBORO — A Plainsboro woman suffered serious injuries when the car she was driving collided head-on with another car, flipping her car onto a field on Scudders Mill Road near the Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. facility Aug. 12.
Cindie Truglio, 49, of Plainsboro Township, had to be cut out of her car following the 8:30 a.m. accident, police said. She was taken by helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton for treatment.
Ms. Truglio was traveling east on Scudders Mill Road when she lost control of her 1995 Honda and crossed the center median into oncoming traffic. That’s when her car was struck by a west-bound 2005 Mercedes-Benz, driven by Quanxing Cai, 49, of Princeton Junction.
The force of the impact flipped Ms. Truglio’s car into the field. She had to be extricated from the overturned car. Ms. Cai, who was driving the second car, was taken to the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.
