Nicholas M. Bratsko, 82, died on Friday, September 2, 2016, at Compassionate Care Hospice at RWJ Hospital. He was born February 12, 1934 in Allentown, NJ and grew up in Trenton, NJ. Nick was in the Army from 1956-58, serving in Stuttgart, Germany. He worked at the Fischer Body Plant in Ewing for 39 years. Before retiring completely, Nick worked as a school crossing guard in Pennington. For many years, he was a league bowler in Flemington and at Hiohela Lanes in Hopewell and coached Little League baseball. Nick and his wife were members of the Y-Nots Camping Club for several years and enjoyed watching TV game shows and NASCAR races together. Predeceased by his parents, Nicholas and Evelyn Anderson Bratsko; a sister, Beryl Lettiere; and two brothers, Robert and Harold Bratsko; he is survived by his wife of 55 years, Joan Sisco Bratsko; a daughter, Deborah Bratsko; a son, David Bratsko; two grandsons, Stephen and Nathaniel Bratsko; two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Octavian Bratsko; two sisters, Dorothy Ruhnke and Evelyn Emery; a sister-in-law, Billie Jean Bratsko; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Patricia Sisco and Edward and Eleanor Sisco; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will take place 11am Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Highland Cemetery in Hopewell, NJ. With Pastor Dennis O’Neill officiating.
