The Hightstown Police Department initiated the following police reports from Aug. 31 through Sept. 4, 2016.
Doriann N. Lewis, 21, and Meghan R. Hanratty, 20, of Lindenhurst, N.Y., were arrested Aug. 31 for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street. Ms. Lewis and Ms. Hanratty were transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released with a pending court date.
Tiffanie I. Webb, 30, of Freehold, was arrested Sept. 1 by the Howell Township Police for an active warrant out of Hightstown Municipal Court. Ms. Webb was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released on her recognizance.
Jennifer L. Brown, 36, of Westerlea Arms Apartments, was arrested Sept. 1 for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and for possessing a controlled dangerous substance, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on North Main Street. Ms. Brown was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released with a pending court date.
Crystal Narvaez, 29, of Jamesburg, was in the custody of Middlesex County Jail Sept. 1 for an active warrant out of Hightstown Municipal Court. Ms. Narvaez was transported to the headquarters, booked, processed, and later committed to the Mercer County Adult Correction Facility in lieu of bail.
Steven H. Reece, 18, of the 100 Block of Stockton Street, was arrested Sept. 2 on Railroad Avenue for an active warrant out of Hightstown Municipal Court. Mr. Reece was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later committed to the Mercer County Adult Correction Facility in lieu of bail.
Gavin Wong, 22, of East Windsor, was arrested Sept. 2 for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Dutch Neck Road. Mr. Wong was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released with a pending court date.
Jatinderp Saini, 44, of Lake Hopatcong, was arrested Sept. 3 for DWI, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on North Main Street. Mr. Saini was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released to a friend.
Jennifer Zelaya, 24, of East Windsor, was arrested Sept. 3 for possession of a synthetic cannabinoid (synthetic marijuana), possession of heroin, drug paraphernalia, and possession of hypodermic needles, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street. Ms. Zelaya was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released pending a court date.
Karmvir Singh, 25, of East Windsor, was arrested Sept. 4 for possession of less than five grams of hash oil, and possession of drug paraphernalia, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on North Academy Street. Mr. Karmvir was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released pending a court date.
The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016.
Joseph C. Armstron III, 48, of Slidell, LA, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane and failure to signal turn after being stopped at 1:33 a.m. Aug. 20 on Route 130.
An officer observed a vehicle operating recklessly on Route 130 and conducted a motor vehicle stop near Route 571. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mr. Armstron was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action.
Juan D. Clavijo-Alvarez, 19, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 3:34 a.m. Aug. 27 on Etra Road.
An officer conducted a check of two suspicious vehicles parked near the Etra Lake boat ramp. Further investigation revealed that one of the individuals was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A second individual, Briana M. Quackenbush, 18, of East Windsor, had an active warrant from the Monroe Township Municipal Court. Both were arrested and later released pending court action.
Richmond N. Boye, 31, of Highstown, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 11:35 a.m. Aug. 27 in Etra Park.
The officer responded to the Etra Park parking lot to check on a suspicious vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Boye was arrested and later released pending court action.
James E. Maldonado, 21, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle and having an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle after being stopped at 1:48 a.m. Aug. 28 in Windsor Mills.
An officer responded to the Windsor Mills parking lot to check on a suspicious vehicle. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Maldonado was arrested and later released pending court action.
Carlos E. Jarin, 22, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs in motor vehicle and having license plate lamps not illuminated after being stopped at 9:26 p.m. Aug. 28 on Mercer Street.
An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Mercer Street for an equipment violation and trash being thrown out the window. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Jarin was arrested and later released pending court action.
Orlando J. Ortiz, 33, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, having tinted windows and having an obstructed view aftre being stopped at 11:30 p.m. Aug. 28 on Abbington Drive.
An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Abbington Drive after observing a vehicle operating with tinted windows and an obstructed view. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mr. Ortiz was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action.
Officers responded to Russert’s Deli at 9:48 p.m. Aug. 29, on an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival the officers observed numerous items strewn about the floor. Further investigation revealed an unknown person entered the business and removed the cash register containing $400. The incident is under investigation.
Jennifer L. Guaman, 20, of East Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Fernando E. Tiniganay-Tigre, 21, of Hightstown, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped at 2:37 a.m. Aug. 30 on Hickory Corner Road.
An officer conducted a check of a suspicious vehicle parked in the Mercer County Library parking lot located on Hickory Corner Road. Further investigation revealed that driver and passenger were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Both were arrested and later released pending court action.
Officers responded to Speedway Gas on Route 33 West at 10:19 p.m. Aug. 30, on an activated burglar alarm. Upon arrival the officers noticed the front door of the business had been broken. Further investigation revealed an unknown person entered the business and removed the cash register containing $88.00. The incident is under investigation.
