The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore will honor 10 outstanding young professionals with the first Phenom Award. The award, which honors Phenomenal Women Under 40, recognizes emerging, young, female leaders under the age of 40 from Monmouth and Ocean counties not only for who they are, but also for the potential of what they might achieve in their futures.
This is the inaugural year for this award, which is expected to become an annual Girl Scout celebration of exceptional female leaders in the community. Honorees will receive their award at a special cocktail reception at 6 p.m. on Sept. 22, at Waters Edge, Bayville.
