Historical Society of Ocean Grove meeting set for Sept. 26

The Historical Society of Ocean Grove will hold its third Program and Membership Meeting of the year at 7 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Francis Asbury Manor, 70 Stockton Ave., Ocean Grove.

The feature presentation is “The Historical Society’s Summer of Success” with a video highlighting the Summer of 2016 and The Historical Society’s outreach to visitors and residents with innovative programs and offerings. Over 4000 individuals visited this season to enjoy the new exhibition at the museum entitled “Ladies, Land, Liquor, and the Lord,” participate in the Annual House Tour, Walking Tours, the Women’s History Tours, varied workshops, a successful Auction, Ocean Grove History Days, the Annual Postcard and Antique Show, and more.

The result has been renewed interest in the Society’s work, as well as a significant increase in membership and donations. Join the Historical Society to celebrate the success. Questions and discussion will follow the video presentation. The slate of officers for a two-year term will also be presented and voted upon. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.
