The Center for the Arts at Monmouth University has announced that tickets are on sale for a one-night engagement featuring the touring company of New York’s Aquila Theatre, in a staging of William Shakespeare’s comedy “Much Ado About Nothing” that comes to campus at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 6. The production comes to the refurbished Pollak Theatre at Monmouth University, 400 Cedar Ave, West Long Branch.
Scheduled for a single performance, it’s the first dramatic presentation of the 2016-2017 Performing Arts Series. The event also marks the continuation of a recently established tradition at Monmouth, with the annual visit of the company that’s previously presented its interpretations of such literary classics as “Fahrenheit 451” (2013), “Wuthering Heights” (2014), and “The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes ” (2015).
Tickets are priced at $35 and $50 and can be reserved through the Monmouth University Performing Arts Box Office at 732-263-6889, or online at www.monmouth.edu/arts. Contact the Box Office for information on group rates. Tickets for other upcoming events in the 2016-2017 Performing Arts series at Monmouth University, including an all-new season of high definition broadcasts from the National Theatre of London, are on sale now.
