St. Bartholomew Columbiettes, East Brunswick, will sponsor an Oct. 2 bus trip to the Shower of Roses at the Shrine of St. Therese, Nesquehoning, Pa.
The day will begin with a light continental breakfast at St. Bartholomew Church, 470 Ryders Lane. The bus will depart at 9:30 a.m.
The afternoon will include Sunday Mass, the crowning of the Rose Queen, an optional procession through town and rosary recitation, free time and, weather permitting, the shower of roses from above as a helicopter drops rose petals throughout the town. Return to St. Bart’s will follow immediately. Cost is $35 per person.
