A 19th Century Fall Harvest Festival will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sept. 24 at The Historic Village at Allaire, 4263 Atlantic Ave., Farmingdale. The rain date is Sept. 25. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 5-12 years old.
There will be horse and wagon rides, apple themed activities, historic games and activites, and the historic homes will also be open for tours. Mr. Allaire’s house will be rededicated now that the restoration is done.
An Evening with Edgar Allan Poe will be held Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Tickets are $20 per person. Helen McKenna-Uff dramatically retells the stories of the macabre and mystery. Each night will offer a different retelling.
Fall Craft Market and Art in the Park will be held from 10 a.m-4 p.m. Oct. 1. The rain date is Oct. 2. Admission is $2 per adult; children under 12 years old are free. The craft shows at The Historic Village at Allaire show case local artists as they sell and demonstrate their crafts. The craft market includes handmade items of all varieties from paintings and photography to pottery, woodworking, textiles, and beyond. Vendor space is still available.
