The 2016 East Brunswick Ghost Walk is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, weather permitting. Tours, which are sponsored by the New Jersey Ghost Organization, will line up at the corner of Kossman Street and Old Bridge Turnpike in the township’s Historic Village of Old Bridge. For GPS directions, 21 Kossman St. should be used as the central point in the village.
The walks will include a litany of hauntings, spirit activity and tales of deceit, decadence and death. Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes and feature stories of many historic homes and sites. Local heroes such William Rogers, Joe Crandall and the Kossman brothers, all servicemen killed in action, also will be highlighted. Flashlights and cameras are recommended. Tours are wheelchair friendly. Organizers maintain that the walks are appropriate for individuals ages 8 and above.
Admission is $8 per person. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Crandall-Kossman American Legion Post No. 177, East Brunswick.
