Sen. Jennifer Beck (R-Monmouth) received the 2016 Recognition Award from the Affordable Housing Alliance at a recent luncheon at The Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury Borough.
Beck was honored for her work in assisting superstorm Sandy residents with moving back into their homes, along with her efforts in guiding a public-private partnership into place in Neptune Township which resulted in saving 99 seniors and families from being evicted from their Winding Ridge affordable housing units earlier this year.
Other honorees included Richard Weber, Joseph McCarthy and Scott Havard from Tormee Construction.
“I’m humbled and honored to be selected for recognition by the Affordable Housing Alliance. This organization works with some of Monmouth County’s most vulnerable residents to ensure that they have a place to live and call home. I will continue to advocate for the good work done by this group and utilize the resources from the State of New Jersey to further the Affordable Housing Alliance’s mission,” said Beck in a press release.
