Nancy Luchia Wanzel

Before my beloved Grandmother Nancy Luchia Wanzel’s soul left this earth , on the morning of September 23, 2016, she walked to the door of her home and opened it for the EMTs, who tried to save her. But the thing is, she was wheelchair bound and could not walk even two steps without a cane or a walker and yet, she got up out of bed, with the last bit of strength she had in her frail and fragile body, to open that door. I believe that when she walked and opened that door she had actually entered another dimension and the Angels came to carry her into the light. She is home now with the love of her life; her husband Thomas F. Wanzel, who was a corporal in the United States Marines and was also an aspiring drummer before the WWII broke out and now they’re swinging to that Big Band jive in heaven and they’re both shining down upon us. So, when you look up at the stars, you’ll see Nancy and Tom together again.

In life she was an incredible: Artist, Actor, Singer, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and so many other amazing things. She was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She loved unconditionally and gave with a pure and selfless heart, leaving behind so many memories that will be cherished for all of eternity.

Her memory will live on, and the stories will be passed on for future generations. Grandma you will be missed forever, but never forgotten. We will always love you!

“Thanks for the memories.”
