Middlesex County Clerk Elaine M. Flynn has been named president of the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COANJ).
The COANJ was first organized in 1920 and includes all registrars, surrogates, sheriffs and county clerks in the state. Officials work together to promote the best practices in each county office.
The goal of the COANJ president is to share with the public any and all impending issues that may affect them. They also submit and advocate legislation in relation to the conduct of all the statutory requirements and duties relating to their offices.
Flynn has been clerk of Middlesex County for 20 years.
