What a wonderful state New Jersey is.
We have a train accident in Hoboken, and overnight a majority of our Legislature quickly enacts two new tax laws: a huge increase in gasoline taxes — up 158 percent from 14.5 cents to 37.5 cents per gallon and a minute decrease in the sales tax — down two tenths of 1 percent — 7 percent to 6.875 percent.
Now our politicians, who have accepted legalized bribery from political action committees, unions, corporations and lobbyists, can start paying off their debts with taxpayer dollars.
