The Boys and Girls Club of Trenton will conduct a used-bicycle drive for the Bicycle Exchange, Ewing, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Monroe Township Green Fair, Monroe Township High School, 200 Schoolhouse Road.
Since the inception of the all-volunteer Bicycle Exchange in 2009, more than 12,000 bicycles have been sold and more than $640,000 has been raised for the Boys and Girls Club. Volunteers handle all bicycle reconditioning and sales; there are no paid employees.
The missions of the exchange are to help low-income families and individuals obtain decent bikes at a low cost and to raise money for the afterschool programs of the Boys and Girls Club.
