Dorothy Reilly, 77, formerly of Skillman, NJ, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016 at the Alzheimer Resource Center in Plantsville.
She was the wife of the late John “Jack” Reilly. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1939, the daughter of the late Albert and Florence (Holland) Wargo.
She was a member of the Aquinas Institute of Catholic Ministries at Princeton University and St. Charles of Borromeo, Skillman, NJ. Dorothy was a docent at Drumthwacket, Princeton, NJ. She and her husband John enjoyed traveling the world extensively, visiting family and friends and going to Broadway shows in NYC.
Dorothy is survived by her children, John and wife Gina Reilly of Waltham, MA, Steven and wife Sandy Reilly of Southington and Lori and husband Frank Schaefer of Long Island, NY; 7 grandchildren, Jae, Erin, Julia, and Jack Reilly, Joshua Holland, Jessica Sharpe and husband JR and Benjamin Holland; 3 great grandchildren Damon, Avery and Jaxon Sharpe.
She also leaves 2 brothers Albert and wife Patricia Wargo and John and wife Linda Wargo, and sister-in-law Christine and husband Douglas Almskog as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd; Southington. There are no calling hours. Interment will be at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD at a later date. DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington is assisting with arrangements.
