The Hightstown Library Association’s Fall Book Sale kicks off at the Hightstown Memorial Library on Friday, Oct. 7.
“This year, we have a record number of books to sell – more than we have ever had before,” said Emily Frey, HML branch manager. “Many of them look new or almost new.”
The sale, which runs through Saturday, Oct. 15, will offer buyers a variety of books, films, music and other media to choose from. Almost all items are priced at $1 or less.
“We have a little bit of everything, even video games, but the largest selection will be of nonfiction books and children’s books,” said Ms. Frey said.
On the final two days of the event, Friday, Oct. 14, and Saturday, Oct. 15, bargain hunters can fill a bag worth of items for only $3.
While Ms. Frey went on to explain that the Fall Book Sale usually gets a good turnout, HML is hoping for a lot of traffic during the Hightstown Harvest Fair on Saturday, Oct. 8.
“That day, we will have tables and books for sale outside in the park, as well as throughout the library,” she said.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit HML programming and any materials needed.
The library is located at 114 Franklin St. in Hightstown. Library hours are: Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is closed on Sunday.
