Jessica Myers of Howell is a member of the 2016 Marching Royal Dukes, the 440-member marching band at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Virginia. Jessica, a fourth-year student at majoring in music education, is in the band’s mellophone section.
Michael Kaminski of Howell is participating in stadium band at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, this fall. The stadium band plays at all home football games, the homecoming parade and pep rally, and at special events throughout the fall. Michael is a music major in the Class of 2017. A 2013 graduate of Howell High School, he is the son of Mark and Denise Kaminski.
Kayla Ojeda of Howell, a student in Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at University of the Sciences, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, received a white coat in September. The white coat ceremony is an annual rite of passage for students in their first professional year (third year) of a six-year pharmacy program, and symbolizes their dedication to the profession of pharmacy and to the care of others. Kayla continues on the path to receiving a doctor of pharmacy degree in May 2020.
Karissa Broschart of Howell was named to the dean’s list for the 2016 spring semester at Stevenson University, Owings Mills, Maryland.
Angela Szczecina of Howell is one of 14 University of Scranton, Pennsylvania, education majors who are serving as student teachers for the fall semester at seven schools in the Lakeland, Scranton, Valley View and Wayne Highlands school districts. Angela, who is a senior, is serving as a student teacher at Valley View Elementary Center in the Valley View School District. Angela is majoring in early and primary education.
Brianna L. Roath of Jackson was selected as an orientation group leader for the 2016 Summer Orientation and Registration (SOAR) program at Western New England University, Springfield, Massachusetts. SOAR helps set the stage for academic readiness and successful community integration at the university. Brianna is majoring in Health Sciences.
