Cheers to Milo Ventimiglia
for growing up so nicely. No longer a Gilmore boy, the actor has quietly and capably proven to be more than a pretty face (and butt) with adult turns as a Gotham villain, Chosen’s action hero and, now, the sweet dad on This Is Us.
Cheers to MacGyver
for concocting a reboot that works like a charm. Not sure if it’s Lucas Till’s immense appeal as the secret agent with a thing for homemade weapons, the clever cases or the snappy writing, but CBS’s updated take on the ABC classic is to-DIY-for.
Jeers to Netflix
for having less than Marvel-ous servers. The only thing more frustrating than only getting 13 episodes of the spectacular Luke Cage was the streaming service’s Oct. 1 weekend outage that stalled our binge on Mike Colter’s badassery for hours.
Jeers to Scream Queens
for going for the quick hit. Why line up great guest stars like Cecily Strong, Colton Haynes and Jerry O’Connell if you’re just gonna off them after a single episode? It kills us to see such talent die before Chanel can really slay ’em.
