The East Windsor Township Police Department initiated the following police reports through Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016.
Diane M. Dewindt, 46, of East Windsor, was charged with DUI, refusal to submit to breath testing, reckless driving, careless driving, having an unregistered vehicle and having her touring driver’s license privileges expired after an incident at 2:32 p.m. Sept. 30 on Route 130.
An officer responded to Route 130 south near PNC Bank to check on a possible intoxicated driver. After locating the vehicle and driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Ms. Dewindt was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. She was later released pending court action.
Tejesh R. Patel, 36, of New Castle, Delaware, was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, delaying traffic and having an obstructed view after being stopped at 9:50 p.m. Sept. 30 on Route 130.
An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 130 south near the Colonade Motel after observing a vehicle operating recklessly. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. Mr. Patel was given field sobriety tests and arrested for DUI. He was later released pending court action.
Youiah H. Wesseh, 26, of Trenton, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to maintain lane, having a suspended driver’s license and being an unlicensed driver after being stopped at 11:17 p.m. Oct. 4 on Old Trenton Road.
An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Old Trenton Road near Dorchester Drive after observing a vehicle cross over the double yellow line and into the oncoming lane. Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of drug paraphernalia and also had an active warrant from the Trenton City Municipal Court in the amount of $250 bail. The driver was arrested and later released after posting bail.
The Hightstown Police Department initiated the following police reports from Oct. 6 through Oct. 10, 2016.
Jonathan R. Nearhoof, 32, ofm East Windsor, was arrested Oct. 6 for DWI, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Etra Road. Mr. Nearhoof was transported to headquarters, booked, processed, and later released to a friend.
Leonard Williams II, 44, of Jacksonville, FL, was arrested Oct. 10 on Franklin Street for DWI, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, and for possession of drug paraphernalia, during the course of a motor vehicle stop on Franklin Street. Mr. Williams was transported to the station, booked, processed, and remained in custody until he was later released to a friend.
