WEST WINDSOR: Florida man charged with weapons, drug violations

WEST WINDSOR — A Florida man was charged with weapons offenses and drug violations after he was stopped by police and found to have weapons in his Chevrolet pickup truck on Quakerbridge Road shortly before 10 a.m. Oct. 5, according to the West Windsor Township Police Department.
Thomas J. Thompson, 36, of Jacksonville, Fla., was charged with unlawful possession of a loaded handgun, unlawful possession of a rifle, unlawful possession of hollow point bullets, possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Mr. Thompson was found to be in possession of a Smith &Wesson semi-automatic handgun, a Crossman Stealth air rifle, 14 hollow point bullets and nine full metal jacketed bullets, police said. He also had marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession, including a metal grinder with marijuana residue, a glass pipe with marijuana residue and rolling papers.
He was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $58,000 bail.
