Immediate Care holds ‘Paint the Plaza Pink’ this month

Immediate Care Medical Walk-In of Hazlet, along with participating Airport Plaza businesses, is hosting “Paint the Plaza Pink” for the month of October in support of breast cancer awareness month.

The event aims to promote breast cancer awareness and education through sharing resources from the American Cancer Society and collecting donations for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Community members can stop by Airport Plaza and look for participating businesses with a pink ribbon display to find materials from the American Cancer Society and to register for the Making Strides Walk. Visitors to Immediate Care will receive a free “pink power” promotional goodie bag.

The 22nd annual Making Strides Walk took place this past Sunday, Oct. 16, at Ocean and Arnold avenues in Point Pleasant Beach.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks are the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting communities with a shared determination to help free the world from the pain and suffering of breast cancer. Passionate walk participants raise critical funds that enable the American Cancer Society to fund innovative research; provide free, information and support to anyone touched by breast cancer; and help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it is most treatable.
