B.R.A.K.E.S. (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe), a nonprofit organization that provides free defensive-driver training to teens and their parents, will offer its course Oct. 29-30 at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown. The program will be led by drag-racing champion Doug Herbert.
Classes are four hours long, beginning with a classroom session followed by behind-the-wheel driving exercises including panic braking, crash avoidance and car control and distracted-driving avoidance.
The program, which is taught by professional instructors, is free of charge. Space is limited.
