ASBPA 2016 National Coastal Conference in Long Branch

The American Shore and Beach Preservation Association (ASBPA) announces the ASBPA 2016 National Coastal Conference will be held Wednesday-Friday, Oct. 26-28, at Ocean Place Resort, 1 Ocean Blvd., Long Branch.

ASBPA is the nation’s first organization to promote science-based policies for the preservation of coastal areas. The 2016 conference, whose theme is “Lighting the Way for the Coastal Future,” will provide an opportunity for all coastal stakeholders to learn together and develop collaborative networks and resources to promote best management practices to maintain and improve the health of our coasts.

A significant number of conference sessions (more than 180 total sessions are planned) will look at New Jersey coastal issues as well as national coastal concerns. This event also celebrates the 90th anniversary of ASBPA, which was formed in New Jersey in 1926.
