ABERDEEN — The community is invited to an evening of humor in two acts at 8 p.m. on Nov. 19 at Temple Shalom of Aberdeen, 5 Ayrmont Lane. Doors open 7 p.m.
The opening act, “A Priest, a Rabbi and a Minister,” features the Rev. Matt Thiringer of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Keyport, Rabbi Laurence Malinger of Temple Shalom and the Rev. Rusty Eidmann-Hicks of Holmdel Community United Church of Christ.
Comedy Central/National Lampoon veteran Tommy Koenig performs in Act Two. Koenig’s comedy career spans numerous televised performances from around the world, including A&E’s “Comedy on the Road” from London and Jamaica and MTV’s “Half Hour Comedy Hour.” He was also one of the original veejays on The Comedy Channel.
Koenig’s on-screen career covers a wide spectrum ranging from “Miami Vice” to “Scooby Doo.” He was featured in the comedy “Stitches,” Mel Brooks’ “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” and “Dracula: Dead and Loving It.” Koenig’s voice work includes creating original characters for the video game Grand Theft Auto-San Andreas.
