Temple Emanu-El, 100 James St., Edison, welcomes acclaimed artist, Mordechai Rosenstein, to the congregation as an Artist in Residence, from Nov. 9-13. All events are open to the community.
“Art Becomes Me,” a slide show of unusual pieces the artist has created for celebrities and others, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 10.
Shabbat ALIVE! The artist will deliver the D’var Torah at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11.
A Torah Study with the artist, followed by a Shabbat Service and light Kiddush Lunch, will be held at 9 a.m. on Nov. 12. The program is open to all, free of charge.
“Pinot and Painting,” will be held at 8 p.m. on Nov. 12. Create your own piece of art based on the Hebrew alphabet, co-signed by Mordechai Rosenstein. The cost is $18 per person, dessert included, BYOB. RSVP is required by Nov. 7. Spaces are limited; registration is on a first come first served basis.
Open House with the Artist will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 13. View displayed artwork created by Mordechai Rosenstein and create your own art pieces.
Artwork will be available for purchase at all times except Shabbat. Special arrangements can be made for Shabbat sales.
