East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov, council members Denise Daniels and John Zoller, along with representatives of Trammell Crow and CBRE, recently helped break ground on the Gateway Twin Rivers project, a 410,300-square-foot Class A distribution facility.
The new facility, to be constructed on 28 acres at 159 Milford Road, directly across from Conair Corp. and just off the recently relocated and expanded New Jersey Turnpike East Windsor Interchange 8, will house a state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution center equipped with the latest in industrial features.
“This is an exciting day for East Windsor Township, as the size and scope of this modern Class A facility marks a significant investment by Gateway Twin Rivers, and exhibits strong confidence in the attractiveness and economic vitality of East Windsor for business,” said Mayor Mironov. “The Gateway Twin Rivers project will generate substantial local tax dollars and new jobs for our area, as well as new patrons for our many stores and restaurants.”
According to the mayor, East Windsor has demonstrated its value to commercial users looking for an unbeatable strategic location two minutes off of the New Jersey Turnpike and major transportation networks as Routes 133, 33 and 130.
“In East Windsor, we have made it a priority focus to provide a business friendly hands-on environment that seeks to assist and guide businesses, large and small, through the process of locating and operating in the township,” said the mayor. “This project is well situated in our industrial office zone, directly across from company giant Conair Corporation and among many other diverse successful businesses.”
“The development of this facility comes at a critical time for the New Jersey industrial market as the rapid growth of e-commerce continues to amplify demand for top-quality product within the state,” said CBRE Executive Vice President Mindy Lissner. “(The property) meets all of the requirements of today’s industrial user, through both its next-generation features and transit-oriented location with direct access to key consumer markets.”
Andrew Mele of Trammell Crow added, “As one of the first new Class A distribution facilities being developed in East Windsor, we are confident that 159 Milford Road will be met with significant market interest. This project presents the market with an ideal opportunity to take brand new product located immediately off of the Turnpike.”
The CBRE brokerage team of Ms. Lissner, William Waxman, Steven Beyda, Dan McGovern, Robert Pine, Kevin Dudley and David Gherani has been retained to market and lease the facility. CBRE is the world’s largest commercial real estate service and investment firm with more than 70,000 employees and 400 offices worldwide.
The building will be able to accommodate either a single or multiple users.
