The Old Bridge Public Library Main Branch, Route 516 and Cottrell Road, will offer a variety of upcoming new children’s programming.
The Rubik’s Cube Club will meet 4:30 p.m. Nov. 4 and 18. Youngsters in grades 4-12 will compete against each other as they try to solve the puzzle as quickly as possible. A small supply of Rubik’s Cubes will be available to borrow for those who do not have their own. The club will meet at 4:30 p.m. the first and third Fridays of the month.
“Weird and Wacky Presidential Charades” is set for 2:30 p.m. Nov. 5. Geared toward young people in grades 2 and up, the program will be played like basic charades with two teams. Participants will read a “wacky and weird” but true clue about a president and will then act out the answer as their team attempts to guess it. Prizes will be awarded.
“Maker Mondays: Disney Theme” are scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 7 for ages 5-8, 7 p.m. Nov. 14 for ’tweens in grades 4-6 and 7 p.m. Nov. 21 for teens. Youngsters will create crafts in celebration of Mickey Mouse’s birthday. Children under age 5 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is required. The library will celebrate National STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) Day 7 p.m. Nov. 8. The one-hour session will explore the wonders of flight as participants create, decorate and fly paper airplanes. All ages are welcome.
