The Middlesex County Office of Workforce Development will host its free Veterans Job and Services Fair 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 4 at American Legion Post No. 177, 17 Emerson St., East Brunswick. Military veterans who are looking for employment or who want to learn about the programs and services that are available for veterans are invited to attend.
The fair will feature potential employers, one-on-one résumé assessment and review sessions, and training providers from in-demand fields such as transportation, health care, information technology, hospitality and tourism.
Representatives from the New Jersey Small Business Development Center will speak to guests about entrepreneurship and business start-up resources. Information will be provided on housing and social services for veterans and their families. A representative from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development who works specifically with veterans will be available to offer information on employers’ benefits and tax credits. Middlesex County Board of Social Services representatives will be on hand to discuss various public-assistance programs. Admission is free of charge.
