HILLSBOROUGH: School board hires assistant business administrator

The hiring of an assistant business administrator and assistant board secretary — at a salary of $92,00 a year — was approved unanimously by the Hillsborough Township Board of Education.
At the Oct. 23 meeting, the school board gave the Hillsborough Township School District the go-ahead to hire Ashley Zielinski to the post.
Ms. Zielinski will take up the position left by Matthew Bouldin, whose resignation was accepted by the board on Oct. 10 and will take effect starting Dec. 6. Mr. Bouldin joined the district in Augsust 2014.
“We are pleased to welcome Ashley Zielinski to Hillsborough,” Superintendent Dr. Jorden Schiff said. “Ashley brings with her a diverse background in finance and accounting and we look forward to her joining us as the assistant school superintendent/assistant board secretary.”
Officials said Ms. Zielinski’s time with the district would begin on Nov. 10. Her yearly salary of $92,000 will be pro-rated, since she was hired late into the calendar year.
As a district employee, she will also be eligible for healthcare insurance benefits.
According to Ms. Zielinski’s LinkedIn page, her job history includes work as a senior accountant with New York City-based accounting and advisory firm EisnerAmper LLP from 2011 to July 2016 before she joined Johnson & Johnson in Raritan as a senior financial analyst.
Ms. Zielinski became a certified public accountant with the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy in December 2012 and was accredited in business valuation with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in February.
She earned both her bachelor’s degree in accounting, as well as her master’s in business administration, from Monmouth University in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
