Programs for children this month at the Middletown Public Library

New programs and special events are scheduled in November at the Middletown Public Library. All programs require registration unless noted otherwise. Register at www.mtpl.org or by phone at 732-671-3700, ext. 340.

Flow Circus: Read Yourself Silly will be held on Nov. 11 at 1:30 p.m. Students will be inspired to read as Paul tells the story of how a trip to the circus led him on an adventure filled with juggling, magic, and balloon sculpting. In the end, he learns that amazing journeys begin not at the circus, but at the library. For ages 5 and up.

Science Starts will be held on Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. Investigate and invent with your 4-6 year old and any siblings. Families will participate in hands on science activities as well as in a story time featuring books related to the activities.

Crafternoon: Thankful Tree and Creative Corner Bookmarks (Thankful Trees will be held Nov.13 at 2 p.m.; Creative Corner Bookmarks will be held on Nov. 25 at 4 p.m.) Create fun crafts to take home. For ages 6 and up.

Maker Monday will be held on Nov. 21 at 3:45 p.m. There will be some science-y items, some things to make and other fun items to tinker with. For ages 6 and up.

Family Movie Day will be held on Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. Bring the whole family to the library and watch a fun family movie together.

A Nature Presentation with Live Animals will be held on Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. The Monmouth County Park System will bring some live animals for their nature presentation. For ages 4 and up.

Get homework help, develop a skill or drop in for fun creative crafts. Programs offered are Lapsit Story time for prewalkers, Kids Playgroup, Simply Story time, Math Tutoring and Reading Buddies, Lego building, and chess.
