NEW BRUNSWICK – The NJ Transit Police Department (NJTPD) Office of Emergency Management (OEM), together with local and federal partners, will conduct a training exercise beginning at 8 a.m. on Nov. 5 at the Jersey Avenue station along the Northeast Corridor.
The exercise, which will gauge responses to a simulated transportation incident, will take approximately four hours to complete. As a result of the drill, customers should expect to see an increased presence of police and emergency personnel throughout the area, according to a statement provided by NJ Transit.
In addition to NJTPD personnel, Amtrak Police, New Brunswick Police, Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management, New Brunswick Office of Emergency Management, Robert Wood Johnson Emergency Medical Service and the New Brunswick Fire Department will be participating in the training.
Service at the train station and along the Northeast Corridor will not be impacted.
