HILLSBOROUGH: Continue the conversation on school board issues

To the editor:
I was a school board candidate in the Nov. 8 general election and I thank the community for their vote and support. I am honored to represent Hillsborough and Millstone residents on the school board.
I encourage other residents to consider running for school board next year. We need more discussion about the issues that are important to the community. As I learned in a candidate’s briefing, there is a lot of support from the state level school board association. Although serving on the school board is a time commitment, you won’t be learning alone. Also, the school board is a non-partisan election and there is no filing fee. Your nominating petition only needs 10 signatures (one of which can be your own) plus a notary signature.
As you know, communication is very important to me. I also know that community members have a lot of good ideas so I encourage residents to email me about education issues on their mind: [email protected].
We can also continue the conversation on my facebook page: www.facebook.com/jeanforboe , twitter feed: www.twitter.com/jeanforboe and blog: www.jeanforboe.blogspot.com.
Thank you again for your support.
