LAWRENCE: Evans, Dauber, King win school board seats

Lawrence Township voters gave an incumbent school board member the opportunity to serve another three-year term, and also chose two newcomers to fill the other two seats on the Lawrence Township Public School District Board of Education.
Patricia “Pepper” Evans was re-elected to a second term with 5,075 votes. Jonathan Dauber, the former Lawrence High School principal, received 4,760 votes and newcomer Michelle King got 4,592 votes.
Candidates Glenn Collins, who served part of a term on the school board before resigning, earned 2,347 votes, and former school board member Michael J. Wilson got 1,933 votes. New-comer Colette Dickinson garnered ,917 votes.
School board members Michael Horan and Laura Waters opted not to run for re-election.
A fourth seat on the school board, which is a one-year unexpired term that ends in January 2018, was awarded by voters to incumbent school board member Michele Bowes. She was running in an uncontested race and received 6,432 votes.
