Company Honors Top Producers with Luxury Cruise
At the gala for the Inc. 5000 honorees, Tony Robbins looked around confused. But the Resources Real Estate team was nowhere to be found. He was staring at a colorful postcard with two words on it: “Gone Sailing.”
This fall, Resources Real Estate was included in Inc. magazine’s 34th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The gala for the Inc. 5000 list took place on the evening of October 20, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas, a culmination of a three day conference for the nation’s top entrepreneurs. The conference featured a long list of remarkable guest speakers, including legendary motivational speaker Tony Robbins, ABC’s Shark Tank’s Robert Herjavec, and several others impressive entrepreneurs and business coaches.
Despite the inspiring conference and elegant gala, The Resources Real Estate team was missing in action. Why is that, you may ask?
Resources Real Estate rewarded its top-producing agents with a company retreat: a five day luxury Carnival cruise from New York City to Saint John, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“We were sorry to miss the conference and all the wonderful guest speakers, particularly Tony Robbins, but we were committed to recognizing our agents for all their hard work,” said Thomas McCormack, Resources Real Estate’s Managing Partner and Broker. “ The magnificent views of New England and Canada were totally worth it,” he added with a smile.
“We are thrilled to have been awarded with the Inc. 5000 inclusion, and even more excited to be honoring those who helped us accomplish this achievement,” said Carolynn Ozar-Diakon, Senior Partner and Broker. “Celebrating with our Resources family was the sweetest reward possible.”
The top-producing sales associates who joined Carolynn and Tom were Michele Coyle, Vanessa Dooley, Helen George, Mary Lynn Hughes, JoAnn Kulat, Kimberly Newsome, Kathryn Ward-Grabowy, and Irene Zitzner.
After returning from the cruise, the team was enthused about the experience. “It was such an honor to be rewarded for all our hard work,” said Mary Lynn Hughes, winner of the 2015 New Jersey Association of Realtors® (NJAR®) Circle of Excellence Sales Award.
Vanessa Dooley, also a Circle of Excellence Sales Award winner, said: “This trip has been so much fun and I found a deep connection and appreciation of our Resources agents. It was an incredible bonding experience.”
“When you bring together a group of true professionals who all happen to be top producers you can’t help but talk shop,” said Helen George, yet another NJAR Circle of Excellence winner. “But we did have the chance to relax and recharge on board this magnificent ship, and being with this incredible group of people was inspiring and revitalizing. My clients will benefit from this refreshed me! Look out 2017!”
Carolynn Ozar-Diakon summed up the experience by saying: “There is nothing that means more to us in business than rewarding agents for a job well done and enjoying the unique camaraderie and friendship that we have at Resources.”
To make the Inc. 5000 list, companies had to demonstrate a rapid revenue growth over a three-year period. In the last three years, Resources Real Estate expanded the number of its office locations from one to four, tripled the roster of its agents, and saw a growth of 137% in revenue.
The cruise capped a very successful year that saw Resources Real Estate win an additional prize: the award for Best Overall Marketing Package at the 21st Annual Luxury Real Estate Awards, which were handed out on Sept. 30, 2016 at the St. Regis Aspen Resort in Colorado.
