LINCROFT — Community members of all ages are invited to explore new career options and learn about affordable local training programs during the first annual Career Exploration Night to be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Brookdale Community College, 765 Newman Springs Rd., Lincroft.
Attendees can meet individually with local professionals and college representatives and learn about growing career fields in Monmouth County and across the state. Information will also be available regarding short-term career training courses, professional certification programs and two-year college degrees that prepare students for immediate employment.
Representatives will be on hand to discuss available financial aid, grants and scholarships, as well as the college’s unique “prior learning assessment” tool, which helps students apply their work history, military service or classroom experience toward a new Brookdale degree. Officials will also be available to discuss veterans’ benefits, career and internship services, counseling, tutoring and transfer assistance.
Career Exploration Night will be held in the Navesink Rooms of Brookdale’s Student Life Center. It is free and open to all. Parking is in lots 6 and 7. For more information, call 732-224-2068 or email [email protected].
