Toms River High School North’s girls’ soccer team has been the difference between Jackson Memorial High School winning the Shore Conference A South Division and also advancing to the sectional finals of the state tournament.
For the third time this season, the Jaguars suffered a shutout loss to Toms River North, this time by a 2-0 score in the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group IV Nov. 10. The outcome ends the season for Jackson Memorial (14-4-1), which was 7-0-1 in its previous eight games.
Krystal Hund had a goal with an assist and Jenna Royson had a goal to lead second-seeded Toms River North to the state tournament victory over sixth-seeded Jackson Memorial. It was the fifth straight victory for Toms River North (20-2) after a 1-0 loss to Freehold Township High School.
Kylee Sullivan made five saves for Jackson Memorial, which also lost twice to Toms River North in A South games, 2-0 and 1-0.
