The Long Branch Free Public Library is holding its monthly Community Support Day from 12-3 p.m. on Nov. 21 in the Community Meeting Room at the Main Library.
In partnership with the Monmouth County Board of Social Services, the library will be providing direct access to social services, once a month, in a convenient community location. Community members will be able to apply for SNAP (formerly food stamps), health care, WIC services, affordable housing, energy assistance, mental and behavioral health resources, recreation and literacy services and more.
Applications will be accepted, and services will be provided on site at the library. In addition, a bilingual intern from Monmouth University’s School of Social Work will be available by appointment at the library to connect residents with resources and services.
To make a social work appointment, contact Stephanie Jimenez at 732-305-0839 or [email protected]. For general information about the program, contact Lisa Kelly at 732-222-3900, ext. 2350 or [email protected].
