The Dayton Village Citizen’s Coalition will hold its annual Holiday Lighting Celebration from 3:45-5:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 at various locations around the “5 Corners” in Dayton.
The event will begin with the children hanging natural ornaments (make your own and bring) on trees in front of the Slack Carroll Historic House, 354 Georges Rd., Dayton.
Then, the festivities move across the street to the park next to La Taverna restaurant for music and singing led by Larry Campanella and South Brunswick High School students. Around 4:45 p.m., a surprise guest will arrive in a classic car with special treats for children. At 4:55 p.m., the countdown will begin to light the tree in the park. Afterwards, all are welcome to enjoy hot chocolate and cookies in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church across the street.
Donations of non-perishable food items will be collected for the South Brunswick Food Pantry.
