The Men’s Club of the East Brunswick Jewish Center will offer a discussion on Israel as a source of creative positive energy 7 p.m. Dec. 4 the temple, 511 Ryders Lane.
Discussion will focus on Israel’s technological innovation per capita, its concentration of high-tech startup companies and how leading U.S. high-tech firms have chosen to locate research and development there to take advantage of the country’s skills. A panel will explore how, despite a lack of raw materials to jump start its economy, the small state of Israel managed to turn its adversities into sustained technical and economic accomplishments.
A light dairy dessert will be served; dietary laws will be observed. The event is free of charge, but reservations are required.
